I keep your picture by my bed for when I'm feeling sad
And I don't know why i would be.
The way your smile looks so real
I feel like I could start to understand your grace.
...
Cause I have photographs and memories of the times
When you weren't on my mind and I was alone.
And I have poetry and drawings of my life
When you weren't on my side and I didn't know
Just what is love...
Writing moments on the wall with different colors
Keeps my mind away from missing you.
And I can't wait to fall asleep to slip into my dreams
Where we can dance upon a star..
And I will be as patient as a boy in love could ever be.
Cause I don't feel like I was real until you were
A part of me.

I need you back, I need you back
I need you here.
I need your smile, I need your eyes
I need you, dear.
Cause every line on your face makes a beautiful maze
For my eyes to trace...

I must conquer my loneliness alone.
I must be happy with myself or I have nothing to offer.
Two halves have little choice but to join, and yes, they do make a whole.
But two wholes, when they coincide . . . that is beauty.
That is love.

Is it a coincidence that missionaries give a portion of their lives in behalf of others, then come home and testify of their great love for the people they have served? Is it any wonder that bishops and other priesthood and auxiliary leaders who sacrifice for others are filled with love for those who are recipients of their labors? Is there a greater love among mortals than that of a mother, who offers all for her child? Many who desire to have charity like Jesus attain it as he did.
Elder Max C. Caldwell

Once upon a time, there was a quiet little village in the French countryside, whose people believed in Tranquilité - Tranquility. If you lived in this village, you understood what was expected of you. You knew your place in the scheme of things. And if you happened to forget, someone would help remind you. In this village, if you saw something you weren't supposed to see, you learned to look the other way. If perchance your hopes had been disappointed, you learned never to ask for more. So through good times and bad, famine and feast, the villagers held fast to their traditions. Until, one winter day, a sly wind blew in from the North...

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
David Harkins
'Many young women are serving missions. Many are preparing to serve, not because they aren't married or have nothing else to do, but because they have the desire to serve, and therefore are being called to the work. The reason why there are so many going is because this next generation, Heavenly Father will be sending His priesthood army to earth and wants them to be sent to mothers who have been properly trained and taught in the gospel. What better training can a young woman have than serving a full time mission?'

So Goodbye for a while I'm off to explore
Every boundary and every door
Yeah I'm going north
So goodbye for a while I'm out to learn more
About who I really was before
Yeah I'm going north
